Tree Cabling

Tree cabling is the process of improving structural integrity and overall strength of a tree by attaching self-adjusting cables within areas of a tree requiring additional support. This process allows for continued growth of a tree, rather than a full or partial removal.

MapleGreen employs the use of “cobra cable”, a synthetic, rope-type cable that is able to flex and support trees in a natural manner. The cobra system does not require any drilling and does not damage trees in any way. This process is recommended for trees of all ages and sizes that require additional support.

The cobra system is much better for trees compared to the use of a steel cable, which requires drilling and does not allow for flexible support.
